In addition to the updates below, we have released a white paper, TPC Introduction and Structure, describing TPC goals, principles, and operating structures. Prepared by dozens of leaders across the community, this white paper introduces an Executive Committee, Planning Committee, and Technical Steering Group.
During 2025 we plan to further develop the operating model while also focusing on deepening collaborations between the science community and AI industry leaders.
AI industry collaboration is a central theme to the 4-day all-hands conference, TPC25 (July 28-31)—how the scientific/academic community (both disciplinary AI consumers and scientific AI producers) can work with the corresponding leaders from both AI consumer and producer companies.
TPC Events in 2025
TPC Winter 2025 Hackathon (March 5-7, 2025)
RIKEN will host a hackathon in Kobe, Japan for groups of 15-20 participants, who wish to convene for intensive interactions and/or coding. As with the Fall 2024 hackathon, this will be an open meeting with an agenda posted. Interested participants apply for an invitation by proposing their contributions to the agenda. There is no fee for participation, but registration is required- please register here if you plan to participate.
TPC Workshop at SC’Asia 2025 (March 20, 2025)
Organized by Mohamed Wahib and Jens Domke from RIKEN, a full-day TPC workshop will take place in Singapore on March 10 as part of the SC’Asia program (March 10-13, 2025). The workshop agenda includes a mix of presentations from submissions and solicited presentations from the TPC community..
TPC Spring 2025 Hackathon (May 6-8, 2025)
Hosted by Finland’s IT Center for Science (CSC) in Espoo (Helsinki), Finland ,the hackathon will be similar in form and process to previous hackathons. More information, including draft agenda and registration site will be available in early March.
TPC Workshop at ISC-HPC 2025 (June 13, 2025)
TPC leaders from BSC, CSC, and CINECA have organized a TPC workshop at ISC-HPC, which will take place June 10-13 in Hamburg, Germany.
TPC25: TPC All-Hands Conference (July 28-31, 2025)
To be held in the San Francisco Bay Area, TPC25 will be a 4 day event with 1.5 days of hackathons and tutorials followed by a 2.5 day conference agenda with plenaries and working group breakouts, similar to the TPC European Kickoff program in June 2025. More details and a call for participation will be available in early March.

Reports from TPC Events in 2024
SC’24 Workshop (November 2024). The TPC Workshop at SC’24 drew nearly 200 participants and featured a dozen lightning talks selected from over 30 submissions. Presentation slides, agenda, and related information are posted to the workshop website.
TPC Fall 2024 Hackathon (October 2024). A report has also been posted summarizing the Fall 2024 Hackathon hosted by Argonne National Laboratory and the University of Chicago.
TPC European Kickoff Workshop (June 2024) hosted by the Barcelona Supercomputing Center in June 2024.

The TPC seminar series featured two dozen virtual seminars in 2024 and we are filling in the calendar for 2025. Seminar recordings and materials, along with an up-to-date schedule for upcoming seminars, are posted at the seminar website.
