As I mentioned in my previous post, registration is now open for TPC26 (Baltimore, May 31 – June 3) and our breakout sessions (eight parallel tracks, each with five 90-minute slots for working groups and BOFs) are beginning to fill out.  You can propose to organize a BOF here and please consider proposing to give a lightning talk.

TPC Spring Hackathon – Hosted by CINECA

I’m writing this second update to let you know that registration for the Spring TPC Hackathon is also open.  Based on proposals submitted in February, four teams were selected for the hackathon. These teams have been organized by co-leaders from Argonne, RIKEN, CSC, BSC, and U Auckland :

  • Agentic Systems for Molecular Simulation and Pandemic Preparedness
  • Model Context Protocol Infrastructure for Scientific and HPC Applications
  • Reinforcement Learning and Reasoning Systems for Scientific Discovery
  • Large-Scale LLM Swarm Orchestration and Multi-Agent Systems

Schedule

The hackathon will take place April 14-16 hosted by CINECA in Bologna, Italy.  This hackathon is being organized in partnership with NVIDIA’s Open Hackathons team.  You’ll want to register before March 31, as we have two virtual events to prepare for the in-person event in Bologna.  A brief Kickoff virtual event is scheduled for March 31, where the teams will brief participants on their plans for the hackathon.  On April 7 a second virtual event will enable teams to review their plans and get started in advance of the in-person event on April 14-16. The full schedule and details for virtual events is at the registration site.
