About 70 people are participating this week in the TPC Winter Hackathon hosted by the RIKEN Center for Computational Sciences in Kobe, Japan.  We are also in final planning stages for the TPC Spring Hackathon hosted by CSC IT Center for Science in Espoo, Finland May 6-8, along with the all-hands TPC25 conference that will take place July 28-31 in San Jose.  

TPC Events in 2025

TPC Winter 2025 Hackathon (March 5-7, 2025)

Nearly 70 people are participating this week at RIKEN in Kobe, Japan. The program includes an all-day tutorial on evaluating the scientific reasoning skills of large-scale AI models.  

TPC Workshop at SC’Asia 2025 (March 10, 2025)

TPC will take place on March 10, organized by Mohamed Wahib and Jens Domke from RIKEN. The full-day workshop will be held during SC’Asia (March 10-13, 2025) in Singapore.   The program is a mix of talks both invited and from a call for submissions solicited presentations from the TPC community.

TPC Spring 2025 Hackathon (May 6-8, 2025)

May 6-8 – Finland’s IT Center for Science (CSC) will host a 2.5-day hackathon in Espoo (Helsinki), Finland , similar in form and process to previous hackathons. More information on this hackathon will be available in late March.

TPC Workshop at ISC-HPC 2025 (June 13, 2025)

TPC leaders from BSC, CSC, and CINECA have organized a half-day workshop at ISC-HPC, which will take place June 13 in Hamburg, Germany.

TPC25: TPC All-Hands Conference (July 28-31, 2025)

July 28-31 in San Jose, California, USA.  This will be a 4 day event with hackathons, tutorials, and a conference agenda similar to the TPC European Kickoff program. An early-bird registration site is now available as well as opportunities for sponsorship for the event.

The TPC seminar series featured two dozen virtual seminars in 2024 and we are filling in the calendar for 2025.  Seminar recordings and materials, along with an up-to-date schedule for upcoming seminars, are posted at the seminar website. ETHZ Interdisciplinary School on Machine Learning and AI for Science (June 19-24, 2025)

(Application deadline is March 23, 2025)

ETH Zurich’s Campus Heilbronn invites applications the Interdisciplinary School on Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence for Science, which will take place from June 19 to 24, 2025, in Heilbronn, Germany.  This inaugural edition of the summer school will provide early-career researchers with an intensive, hands-on introduction to cutting-edge ML and AI methodologies relevant to scientific research.  The application deadline is March 23, 2025.  For more details and application information, please visit: ETH Zurich Campus Heilbronn Summer School 2025
